Gokulashtami History
Celebrated on the eighth day of Savana month, Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu.
Historians calculate that the birth of Lord Krishna goes back to the Dwapar Yug. It is in the year of Visvavasu around 3227 BC when Lord Krishna was born.
Lord Krishna was born on a dark, stormy night on the day eight day of the second fortnight of the month of Shravana which now corresponds to the month of August-September in the Gregorian calendar. Born in the prison of Demon Kansa, from Kansa’s sister Devaki and Vasudeva, Krishna was declared to be the savior of mankind and the end of Kansa even before his birth. Krishna, right from the day of birth exhibited that he was a special child and there was extraordinary powers with him. Throughout his childhood and adolescence in Gokul, he did many things which made people believe that he was a form of God.

Krishna: Kanha ya Dwarkadish
Yesterday I went for a kavi(poet) samelan. Its where renowned poet comes and have there say about topics in a comical way, making us laugh in a way, sending out a perfect message we all should know which we are unaware of or may be we know but never think of acting on it. Of all the poems they said I liked one which I am describing here.
He really put forth a good question is when you remember krishna, what is in back of your mind you think of krishna as, kanha who in his roop as kanaha spread love and had a perfect love with radha, stole makhan, played around innocently and killed all monsters, or the one who after leaving vrundavan went to become dwarkadish, where he spread dharma, karma and fought battles.?
First I was very sure that both the roop he played had a vital role and was in a way, a perfect role he played for us. Leaving us a perfect message to love and do the karma's. But one thing was sure as well that I loved the kanha more than dwarkadish because, he had love in his heart and when remembering him , heart is filled with love and happiness, spreading a message to us that, nothing is more beautiful than love in this world. But when dwarkadish comes to my mind, all you think is your role in the society, dealing with people , handling situation and sometimes that may even be wrong. Giving all sense of worry and responsibility that we should play as a human being.
Kanha: Kanha humesha apne basuri se sabka mann moh lete the. Jabhi unki basuri bajti saari vrundavan ki gopiyan unki us surili basuri ke dhun par khichi chali aati.
Unki ek muskan pe woh marti thi. Saari gopikayen unke mann hi mann unse prem karne lagi thi, par kanha toh radha se khup prem karte the woh unke liye vrundavan mein rehne bhi aaye the, taki woh roz radha ko apne samne dekhe unse mil sake unse baat kar sake.
Kanha shararat karne mein bhi sabse aage the, aurate jab lote mein pani leke jaya karti thi tab pedh se chupke se pathar fek kar unki matkiyan fodha karte the, chupke se sabke ghar jakar makhan churate the, aur sabse mhavta vali baat yeh thi ke we ape Ma yashodha ke ladle bete the, isliye koi kabhi unhe kuch kehte bhi nai tha sirf unki shikayat kiya karte the.
Aisa bhi kahan jata hai ki jab yashoda mayan ko laga ki kanha ne mithi kha li hai tab unhone kanha ko apna mukh kholne ko kahan, par jab maiyan ne unke mukh mein dekha woh dekhkar toh chakar khakar gir padi, kyunki unhone kanha ke mukh kuch aur nai balki sara vishwa dekha tha. kanha mithi nai kha rahe the balki unke mukh mein saara vishwa tha. woh saare wishwa ke data jo hai.
Dwarkadish: Kanha jab bade hue aur karma ka palan karne lage aur jab unhe saare rajya sopa gaya toh unhe sab dwarkadish ke naam se janane lage. Dwarkadish bane par bhi unhone kai chamtkar kiye. par unke us nirnay par bahot swal bhi uthte hai.
Unhone bhagwat gita ka jo gyan bata hai uske anusar hume apne karmo ka palan karna chaiye. Pehle toh ye sawal hai ki sudhama krishna ke mitra the, agar krishna sachmuch unse prem karte the toh woh swayam unse milne kyu nai gaye, sudhama ko bulakar kyu laye.
Jab mahabharat ka yudh ho raha tha unhone kauravo kon apni sari sena di aur khud us wahan ke chalak bane jisme bethke arjun unhi ke sena unhi ke logon ko marr raha tha, kya krishna ye bhul gaye the ke jinhe woh yudh mein mar gira rahe woh khud bhi unhiki sena, unhi ke log hai.
Aaj toh dwarkadish ke karma ka palan karne ke liye log bhagwat gita ka path roz padte hai, swayam ko us layak banate hai ki woh bhi dwarkadish ki tarah bane, par aaj bhi jab hum krishna ki puja karte hain hum kanha jo haath mein basuri liye radha ke saath khade hai unki karte hai na ki dwarkadish jo haath shastra leke khade hai.
Mein ye nai kehti ke krishna galat the par agar woh sachme sabki bhalyi chate toh woh bhaiyon ke bich yudh na hota, samjhota bhi ho sakta tha par aaj tak vishwa sabse bada yud kehlne wali ghatna na ghadti.
Mein toh mere krishna se bahot prem karti hunn, isliye kuch sawal mann mein uthe toh bas puch liya. par krishna sadha humare mann mein rahenge radha ke kanha bankar, yashoda maiye ke ladle ki tarah jinke mann mein koi dwesh nai jo sirf prem karna jante hai.
